CCMA Exam

Organized by the Canadian Chinese Music Association and supported by professional musicians from leading North American academic institutions—such as YC Academy (the only institution in Canada authorized to grant academic credentials in Chinese music), UWEC, York University, and the University of Toronto—the program features a grading curriculum and system specially designed to reflect the unique characteristics of Chinese music education in North America. Professional Chinese music instructors from major universities and conservatories in both North America and China will serve as adjudicators and advisors. 

The in-person exam will take place this December at the University of Toronto. All participating students will have the opportunity to perform on a professional theater stage alongside musician instructors. Outstanding performers may be awarded special scholarships.
